#Mechajammer release date software#
So let's summarise this: Developers started off promising Linux support on release, then announced it for "the coming days" after release, then cited they had to work on other patches too (thus indicating announcements made for release date don't take priority - at least when it's a Linux port), then stopped communicating with the community altogether and excluded a Linux build from the post-release roadmap, then made their final statement, which in my experience translates to "no promises at this point".īeing someone who is involved in programming and software development, I understand that there can be (always are) unexpected complications.

: Developers reply in the "post-release roadmap" discussion with "We didn't want to agree to a date when it's dependent on external parties but we're hoping to get it to you ASAP".We still received no reply in that thread (another ~3 weeks have passed since then). (~6 weeks after release and ~3 weeks after my last forum post): I asked again (and so did others).
